Read/Write a poem a day.
Everyone walked into class and sat in their assigned seats. After writing the agenda and taking a minute, Ray went up and read her blog. Next, we read the poem "Mi Madre" by Pat Mora, and took a couple of minutes to write down a poem of our own. Ms. Nakada then checked our progress on how many poems we have wrote thus far. After that, we listened to the song "Garden Song" by Phoebe Bridgers. After we listened to the to the song, we Ms. Nakada read the lines for the week, "There Are Birds Here" by Jamaal May. After that, the bell rang, and Ms. Nakada dismissed us by iReady minutes.
