Week 1: Q.Q.S.L
Readers workshop: I.O. and B.A.
HW: RJ 1.3 I.O. and B.A
We walked into class after our third period class, and sat down in our seats. Ms. Nakada played a short meditation, and then Owen went up and read his blog. Then, when he sat back down, he, unfortunately, chose me. After that, we wrote down the lines for the week which were, "The Summer Day" by Mary Oliver. The poem described questions about the world and then brought up a grasshopper. In my opinion the poem is about being aware of the world around you, and taking your time because you never know when it is going to come to an end. We then talked about Inside Out and Back Again, and went over what we wrote in our reading journals about part two of the book. We then read for the rest of the class while Ms. Nakada passed out papers of assignments we submitted a while ago. Then, the bell rang, and we all left to go to lunch.
